Match Report - 11 Sep 2010, Western Wildcats Hockey Club Men 5 drew with EK/Avondale 3
The match didn't get off to a good start as within about 15 - 20 mins of the start we found ourselves 3-0 down. The first came from a short which we couldn't clear and after 4 or 5 attempts they managed to put the ball in the goal. We then conceded a pf after they broke away and the shot hit off Micheal leg, thankfully they are pretty big so there wasn't any damage done there. The 3rd i can't remember what happened. We then came back got a pf of our own which Gareth converted and we then got a break from a pc in which gareth rounded the keeper to score his second, he then scored his hat-trick b4 half time again no recolection of how this happened. So at half time the score was 3-3. Unfortunatley we then conceded another ealry goal from a pc in teh second half. We then leveled the game with some help of the new rules as 1 of the ek defenders was sent to the half way line for breaking early at a pc and this helped Magic score on his return to the club. Despite lots of pressure from ourselves we weren't able get another goal to win the game.
