Match Report - 12 Nov 2011, Western Wildcats Hockey Club Men 5 beat Glasgow University 3
The 5's got off to a shakey start and didn't look like a team for at least the first 10 minutes. Glasgow Uni preyed upon this and very shortly won a short corner. David McVean did brilliantly to stop their first effort on the line however we failed to get the ball clear, the Uni capitalised on this and took the lead. Western however don't know how give up and promptly won a corner of our own with Stuart O'Toole converting. The second half was more of the same, end to end hockey. However the fives yet again ground it out and played the full game. The second goal came from a young Andrew Benson laid on by David.
