Founded in 1898, Western is the oldest hockey club in Scotland, recently celebrating our 125th year. Outdoor, our men have been Scottish champions ten times and lifted the Scottish Cup ten times. They are current national champions indoor and outdoor and have competed in the EHL in each of the past three seasons. Our Women's 1st Team were 2019 outdoor national champions.
Both men's and our women's first teams compete in the top divisions of their respective national leagues. To date, 76 of our members have gained full caps for Scotland.
Our club sides represent us in the regional and the district leagues and we provide a platform for every level of ability and experience. We run five senior men's and four senior women's sides
Our enormously successful Junior section provides coaching for young people of all ages and levels of experience. We run numerous teams for boys and girls at U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. Whether you are a budding youth international or a complete beginner we will provide a safe and friendly environment in which you can enjoy hockey.
