Our first teams host Clydesdale this Saturday. The girls are on at 1200 and the boys at 1330. Neither game will be easy. In the women's fixture both sides miss two internationalists and the key will be who can better cope without them. Wildcats are not sure of fourth spot yet so a result would be helpful. The men's fixture could be close, too. Rob Harwood is another player currently on the Gold Coast for the Commonwealth Games so Western miss an important creative outlet. Clydesdale will be well organised and difficult to beat so this game will be tough.
First up are the Men's 2s who play Grange 2s (1030) in what is a very full Auchenhowie card. Western have a little more experience than usual as they bid to avoid relegation from Central 1. At 1500 the 3s play Ayr in what will hopefully be a closer game than the 9-0 doing Western took in Ayrshire back in the Autumn. The Women's 3s wind up their season at 1630 against Glasgow University 4s.
It's a bumper day of hockey at the club. Get down to support our teams if you can.
