Our Women's 1s have had an excellent pre-season, winning all of their friendlies against the likes of Dundee Wanderers, Hillhead and GHK and picking up some significant new players. They open their season with a tough game at home to Clydesdale (1430).
Kaz was her usual bullishly optimistic self saying, "Pre-season has been excellent with some good performances and results. We have picked up Scottish internationalist Kate Holmes and Erin Stevens, a striker from Grove, but the biggest thing for me is the progress the group continue to make.
"We are aiming to finish top four of course, but a cup run and as high a league finish as possible have to be our objectives. We have a big squad and nothing to fear from anyone in the league so I'm buzzing for the season to start."
Wildcats finish off their pre-season preparations with a friendly at Auchenhowie on Thursday night against a Canadian touring side (2030).
The 2s also get their season underway against Clydesdale. They are at Titwood at 1600 and should continue to benefit from the strength in depth of the 1s.
The only other side in competitive action are the Men's 2s who visit Hillhead 2s (1500). This could be a good year for our 2s with a few older heads returning and the youngsters looking to have kicked on in a big way. They have a friendly on Wednesday night at the club as they put the final touches to their pre-season (1930).
The only other team in action on Saturday is the Men's 3s who are at Hillhead 3s at 1400.
