Western Wildcats Hockey Club

Both first teams face Watsonians this weekend. The boys are at home at 1530 while the girls are in Edinburgh at 1430.

Last week was a disappointing one for the men. They were 2-0 away to Grange before losing 3-2 to a team that had Cammy Fraser red-carded. Watsonians certainly don't have the strength of the Chaps but they do bring their own challenges. Western need to regroup and be at their best to get things back on track. Should be interesting and well worth seeing.

The women face a stiff test from Watsonians. Last season the Edinburgh side came up on the rails to nick the final European Play-off spot from under Wildcats' noses. The girls have had a solid start to the season but so too have Watsons who have won two and drawn one game so far. This could be a very good game.

The Men's 2s have the weekend off while the Women's 2s are at home to GHK 2s (1400). The Men's 3s and 4s are both at Auchenhowie, too. The 3s play Strathclyde University 2s (1100) and the 4s host Oban (1230).

There's plenty of hockey to enjoy at the club so, as ever, make the most of your Saturday and get down to support our teams.
