Please see the message below from the tennis section regarding disruption at Auchenhowie while they install their new lights.
"Further to notification at the last General Committee Meeting that the above contact was in the offing, the contract is starting on Wednesday, 31 July and should last for between 2-3 weeks, depending on weather conditions.
The 8 no 12m columns for the installation are being delivered on Tuesday 30 July and will be stored in an area of the Pavilion car park adjoining the high hedge and next to the Pavilion. This area has been cordoned off with cones and ropes so that clear access for delivery can take place.
On Wednesday, the passage way between courts 1 and 4 will be sealed off as trenching work will be taking place in this area.
Alternative access to the Pavilion, from the Auchenhowie Road Car Park, for the duration of the contract, will then be between courts 5 and 6.
The main contractor for the works is Halliday Lighting and their civils sub-contractor is Ecosse. The contractor is responsible for taking all appropriate safety measures.
Please make participants of sports for your clubs and spectators etc aware not to enter any of the barriered off areas.
