With the West District leagues in abeyance, there were fewer games this weekend and most of them went our way.
The Men's 1s made very heavy weather of their home league fixture against struggling Kelburne. Going in to the final quarter it was 2-2 with Western as profligate with their multitude of chances are Kelburne were ruthless with their few. The final period saw the home side finally exploit their overwhelming possession with five goals for a 7-2 win. Scorers were Moran (2), Harwood (2), Somerville, Calder and Cowan. On Sunday they beat Strathclyde University 10-0 in the cup.
The 2s drew 1-1 coming back from 1-0 down away to Edinburgh University 2s. Robin Young scored their goal. On Sunday they went to Ellon and won 6-0 in the District Cup. The Men's 3s lost 5-2 away to Perthshire 3s in the Reserve Cup.
The Women's 1s won their cup game 3-1 on Sunday. On Saturday the 2s won 8-2 away to Edinburgh.
