This Saturday we see he first competitive hockey since March 2020 with the opening fixtures in the Men's West District League.
The Men's 3s start their season with a bang, welcoming Kelburne 3s to Auchenhowie (1030). These are always good games and this should serve as a useful barometer to how each side is shaping up for season 2021/22.
The 4s travel to Eastwood HS for their game against Giffnock 2s (1230) with a youthful looking squad supplemented by some very experienced older hands. Hopefully they can get their season off to a winning start.
Among the friendlies and training sessions on Saturday is a very attractive fixture between the Men's 1s and Teddington, who feature a number of Scots including Joe McConnell, late of the Parish of Auchenhowie. This is a 1200 start and should be a good game despite the home side missing several players to U21 duty.
