Our Men's 3s recorded another exellent win last night as they beat a very strong Strathclyde University side 2-1 in the rain at Auchenhowie.
Western went 1-0 up in the first half through a Bob Young penalty corner and Max Robeson doubled their lead following lovely build up play by Neil Galloway and Roddy MacCallum. The students pulled one back and Western had to rely on skipper Ally Reid glancing a drag-flicked corner off the line to fine leg for four to ensure the victory.
Western are now up to second in the table with 19 points albeit having played more games than anyone else. Uni remain bottom with one point.
