Our first teams are back in action following the national team weekend. Both are away from home and both are in the hunt for wins. The women, nicely tucked in behind the leaders in fourth, go to Grange who are ninth (1630). The men are third and will feel confident of having too much for tenth placed Dunfermline Carnegie.
Down the club, the Men’s 2s have had a frustrating season, playing some good stuff but seriously lacking a cutting edge. They are away to Inverleith 2s (1500) and three points would be very welcome. The Women’s 2s play at Auchenhowie on Sunday against Highland (1500) and they will be aiming to make it three wins on the spin.
The Men’s 3s’ season has been a bit like the availability of their players: inconsistent (the two are presumably linked). They host district champions Hillhead 3s at 1100. The Women’s 3s play Troon at home (1400) with the clear aim of maintaining their excellent unbeaten run.
The Men’s 4s are away to Clydesdale 4s while the Women’s 4s are at home against Stepps (1230). The Men’s 5s welcome Giffnock at 1700.
