Both first teams wrapped up the first half of the outdoor season with impressive away wins.
The women pulled off an outstanding 1-0 victory over champions Watsonians thanks to Lexi MacMillan. They are fifth and well placed to challenge for another top-four spot in the new year.
The men thumped ESM Lions 5-1. Jamie Golden (2), Tommy Austin, Fraser Moran and Cammy Moran got their goals. Western maintain their 100% domestic record and are five points clear of second place Watsonians in the Premiership table.
Elsewhere, the Men's 2s played well in a 3-3 draw with Watsonians 3s. The Men's 3s smashed Hillhead 4s 8-1 with Douglas Simpson scoring five and Niall Sommerville three. The 4s lost 7-0.
The Women's 2s lost 4-3 despite playing well. The 3s won 2-1. The 4s lost 4-0 away to Arran.
