FOUR WINS FROM SIX LIFTS 1S UP TABLE

17 Dec 2012

Two wins from three outings for our men and women indoor saw both sides end the weekend in a healthier league position than they started.

In Perth, the boys beat Grange 7-3 and Harris 6-0 before a tired Western were upset 5-2 by Clydesdale. The usual suspects - Simpson (D and J) and McCartney - were on the scoresheet but so too were Rhury Smith and Joe McConnell. Signs perhaps, of the new guard stepping up to the plate.

In Stirling yesterday the girls lost their first game 8-4 to CALA but stormed back, beating Kelburne 6-5 and Granite City 3-0. Player/coach Kaz Marshall was the catalyst, scoring freely all day and slotting the winner against Kelburne from a penalty two minutes from time.
