Congratulations to three of our members who will represent Scotland indoor over the next couple of weeks.
This weekend is the Men's C Division in Cyprus (yes, Cyprus) and Gavin Somerville squeezes into an international jersey following a superb couple of seasons in goal for Western. Next week the women go to Brussels and two of our most promising young players make their senior bow as Catriona Booth and Emma McDiarmid get just rewards for their outstanding progress.
Word also reaches us that Rob Harwood will be part of a men's senior squad who play a five nation tournament in Malaga, something his performances for Western over the past year surely merit. Scotland will play Spain, Ireland, Canada and the USA between 24th January and 4th February.
Finally, Kaz Cuthbert and Becky Ward are with the Scotland women's squad preparing for the Commonwealth Games with a three week training camp in Gran Canaria which begins on Saturday.
The best of luck to one and all.
