It was supposed to be the other way around with the men's game being closely contested and the women strolling to a comfortable victory. In the event, the girls huffed and puffed their way to a 1-0 win over Hillhead courtesy of an Erin Stevens second half strike while the boys demolished their male counterparts 6-0 (McConnell 3, Harwood 2, Calder 1).
The girls finish the Autumn half of the campaign in third place, five points off joint leaders Clydesdale Western and Edinburgh University. The boys now have a massive double header this weekend at home to Clydesdale on Saturday and Menzieshill on Sunday.
The Women's 2s and 3s both won well. The Men's 2s somehow contrived to draw 1-1 at home to Inverleith despite having enough chances to win ten games, including a penalty. The 3s took a youthful side to Ayr and played very well in a 4-1 defeat. The 4s beat Clydesdale 5-0 at Titwood.
