Our Men's 1s have hit a very decent run of form this month and will hope to take that into this weekend's crucial Auchenhowie double-header. They play Clydesdale on Saturday (1300) and Menzieshill on Sunday (1430).
Two wins would keep them tucked in two points behind leaders Grange going into the winter shutdown and very well placed for the final seven games of the league season. Drop points, however, and they are relying on favours to catch the Edinburgh side.
Neither game will be straightforward. Wins against both Clydesdale and Menzieshill tend to be hard fought and often scrappy and both sides won at Auchenhowie last season. Western will have to be at their battling best to come through with the six points.
Also in action on Saturday are the Men's 3s who play East Kilbride at 1130 in what serves as an undercard for the main event. With so many of you not playing, why not come down to see what should be two exciting games and support the boys both days.
