With only three league games to go, the Men's 1s are at Glasgow Green to face Kelburne on Saturday (1330).
The main aim for the boys is to finish second and ensure that they play Menzieshill at home in their play-off semi-final. To do this, they simply have to keep winning games. Last week's 6-0 victory at Gordonians coming off the back of a win at Hillhead and two draws leaves them unbeaten since the resumption of the outdoor season (a run which actually stretches back to their loss at home to Edinburgh University in October).
Kelburne's form is not so good with just three wins in 15 games leaving them second bottom and certain of playing off to avoid relegation. Their drop has been precipitous given they were thirty seconds from a fourteenth consecutive championship last season. Western travel as firm favourites.
"We're in great shape and looking forward to the game," said Harry. "We are at full strength with no injuries which is really pleasing at this stage of the season. Other clubs are nowhere near as fortunate."
"The guys have been in good form recently and are training really well so the game can't come soon enough for us. We won at home 2-1 which we feel didn't quite reflect how well we played so we are very keen to impose ourselves on this one."
The Men's 2s are at home to Edinburgh University (1100) as they try to arrest a nasty slump in form. The students are the runaway league leaders, though, so this won't be an easy game by any stretch. The 3s have the weekend off but the 4s are at home and they too play host to runaway league leaders. In their case it's Anchor who provide the challenge (1230).
The Women's 1s are in a similar position to the men. They have three games they need to win to ensure as high a finish and as favourable a play-off semi-final as possible. They should have too much for second bottom GHK at Auchenhowie (1400).
The 2s play bottom place Glasgow University 3s away from home and the 3s host Ayr 2s in what should be a close match (1530).
