The Women's 1s kept up their good form with a 3-0 win away to Glasgow University. An Emily Powell double and one by Lucy Findlay gave them a comfortable victory. They sit fourth on goal difference behind Dundee Wanderers going into the final round of games of the season.
The Men's 1s lost a terrific game of hockey 4-3. Western were a goal up through Fraser Calder but conceded two to be 2-1 behind at half-time. In the second half Hamish Galt from a penalty corner and Calder again from open play gave them a 3-2 lead but Uddingston roared back and nicked a winner in the last two minutes. Grange were crowned champions on Saturday but they will have a job to do to beat this strong Uddingston side in the play-offs.
The Men's 2s lost 4-2 to Grange 3s. The 3s played some great stuff in their 6-1 demolition of league leaders Helensburgh. Roddy MacCallum trumpeted their intentions with a goal in the first minute. Glenn Anderson and the outstanding Scott Soutar got two each to make it 5-1 at the break. Anderson then completed his hat-trick in a slightly less eventful second half.
The Women's 2s won 5-0 against Ardrossan. The 3s lost 6-1 to Greenock. The Men's 4s drew 3-3 with Dumfries.
