Both first teams are away this weekend as they aim to win their penultimate fixtures and position themselves for strong final four placings and favourable play-off semi-finals.
The girls are away to Glasgow University (1330) and really should win comfortably against a team with 25 points fewer than themselves. Other than the disappointment of a 2-1 defeat away to Wanderers a couple of weeks ago, Wildcats’ form has been exemplary. This needs to continue with the girls winning each of their last two games to give themselves as good a chance as possible in the play-offs.
The boys face a tricky trip to Uddingston (1430). The Lanarkshire side have worked their contacts book to great effect and are peppered with some very talented players from both Scotland and overseas. They are fourth and will be desperate to ensure they finish in the play-offs so will throw everything at Western.
The Women’s 2s are at home to Ardrossan (1330) and the 3s are away to Greenock Morton.
The Men’s 2s go to Grange 3s (1530) in the hope of getting their first win of 2019. The 3s are at home to Helensburgh (1200) in a top-of-the-table encounter. The 4s are at Dumfries 2s.
