October 2019 marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Current Scottish Women's hockey champions, Rettie Western Wildcats, are hosting a fundraiser day on the 26th October at Auchenhowie with the aim of raising as much money as possible for Breast Cancer Care. Our fundraiser day will feature two top flight hockey matches between Western Wildcats Ladies 1's vs Watsonians Ladies 1's and Western Men’s 1's vs Watsonians Men’s 1's.
Breast Cancer is a devastating disease, with over 55,000 women receiving the diagnosis every year. In 2019, Breast Cancer Now and Breast Cancer Care merged to form one charity (Breast Cancer Care) with the aim that by 2050, everyone diagnosed will be a survivor.
