Game of the day this Saturday is undoubtedly the Men’s 1st Team fixture away to Grange. Our boys are five points clear of The Chaps and this high noon encounter at Fettes will shape the rest of the season. It is a massive six-pointer which could see them eight points clear or reeled in to just a two point gap.
Games between Western and Grange are usually first class. Sunday’s cup tie at Auchenhowie was a great example. Western won 4-2 but it was an exciting game between two very good sides with the outcome in doubt until the final minutes. Tomorrow will likely be no different.
The Women’s 1s have had a tough run of late with a lot of players missing through injury or illness. They go to GHK who are just four points below them in sixth place for what will be a tough game but one Wildcats will fancy their chances in.
The Women’s 2s are at home against St Andrews University 2s (1330) while the Men’s 2s go to Kilmacolm to play Greenock Morton at 1230.
The Men’s 3s are at Rottenrow in what could be a very tough game. The Women’s 3s – who are absolutely flying at the moment - are at Blu Sox at 1230 on Sunday.
The 4s and 5s are both at home. The 4s play Kelburne 4s at 1500 and the 5s have the graveyard shift at 1630 against Helensburgh 3s.
