Our Women’s 1s welcome Hillhead to Auchenhowie on Saturday (1500) in what should be a cracking game. Wildcats remain in fourth but are only three points ahead of Hillhead. A win consolidates their top four place and sets up an excellent last five games. A defeat, though, pulls Hillhead right back into the mix and makes the run in a lot nervier. Here’s hoping for the former.
On the undercard are the Men’s 1s. They play Dunfermline Carnegie at 1330. Carnegie have made an excellent impression in their first season in the division and are a tidy, well-organised side. Western rolled over the top of them in the Autumn, though, and an away win would be a huge upset.
The only other game at Auchenhowie sees Ayr the visitors as our Men’s 3s play host at 1200. Western have struggled these past couple of weeks with availability problems but look in better fettle this Saturday.
Travelling this weekend are the Women’s 2s who play Dundee University and the 3s who are away to GHK at 1415. Also on the road are the Men’s 4s who go to Uddingston 5s.
