Another display of character in the fourth quarter meant the Men's 1s beat Edinburgh University 3-2 and maintained their five point lead at the top of the Premiership. Having led 1-0, Western were 2-1 down with three-quarters of the game played. Fraser Moran from open play and Johnny Christie from a penalty corner switch with three minutes to go got them the points but not before they saw out a series of Uni corners at the death.
The Women's 1s lost 3-1 to league leaders Watsonians at Auchenhowie. While the result was disappointing they can be pleased with a much improved performance. The 2s scraped a 2-1 win away to Falkirk meaning they have taken seven points from the last nine. The 3s won after Blu Sox were forced to concede due to injuries.
The Men's 2s won 4-2 against Watsonians 2s. The 3s cruised to a 5-1 win away to Strathclyde University.
