There were some good results this weekend, in spite of the fact that it was only our district sides in action.
The Men's 3s, shorn of a number of regulars, battled their way to a 3-1 win against Kelburne 3s. Roddy MacCallum scored two and had another disallowed while Barry Kane got the third in their victory over a Paisley side reduced to ten men following a second half red card.
The 4s continued their resurgance with a 5-1 win while the ginat-killing 5s won 2-0 away to table toppers Greenock. Also playing Greenock were the Women's 3s who lost 5-3. Yesterday they were knocked out of the West District Cup 4-2 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in normal time.
A word for Robbie Robertson who umpired three games on Saturday. Robbie is a club stalwart and without his like we just can't function as a hockey club.
