Many members will be aware of the passing of former member Heather Williams. Heather had been battling cancer for many years before finally succumbing at far too young an age. Heather was a big part of the club in the early years of the women's section. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
On Saturday there was a minute's silence before the Premiership game between Wildcats and Edinburgh University in tribute to Heather. The Women's 1st Team wore pink ribbon badges during the game in Heather's memory and the club have made a donation to Maggie's Centre, a charity which provides help for people with cancer and for those supporting them.
