Eight games were played on Saturday with seven wins and one draw and 32 goals scored to seven conceded. A decent start to the season proper.
The Women's 1s led the way with a strong 2-0 win at home to GHK. Lucy MacMillan and Emma McDiarmid got their goals. The 2s won 5-0 with Mya Shaw, Melissa Thomson (2), Holly Murray and Hazel Murison on the scoresheet. The 4s won 3-2. Their goals were scored by Nina Robeson, Emily Dawson and Chloe Hardie.
The Men's 1s got their season underway with a comfortable 6-2 win away to Inverleith. The Moran brothers got two each while Luc Hermsen and Jack MacKenzie each got a single. The 2s - travelling with a bare 11 - recorded an excellent 3-0 win away to Grange 2s. Cameron Banks scored twice and Ben McLellan once for them.
Further down, the 3s strode to an hefty 8-0 win over a youthful Hillhead 4s. Scott McCartney got four (and was embittered that it wasn't eight) with Alastair Scott, Corbin Miller, Niall Somerville and Fraser Dick getting the others.
The 4s rescued a point against Rottenrow 2s from 3-0 down thanks to a Corey Wilde hat-trick. The 5s had Alasdair Buchanan-Wollerston and Max Robeson to thank for their 2-0 win against Giffnock 2s.
Yesterday, the U18 boys lost to Uddingston and ESM while drawing 3-3 with Watsonians. The girls U18s lost 3-0 Forjus Reivers but beat Granite City 3-1.
