GIRLS GEAR UP FOR CRUNCH MATCH

22 Nov 2012

After another agonsising defeat left our Women's 1st Team bottom of the Division 1 table on just a single point they are gearing up for what will be a massive game against second-bottom Inverleith.

Despite battling hard and leading for a long spell of the game against Kelburne last Saturday, Wildcats just could not get anything from the game, conceding sloppy goals and missing a penalty (as did their opponents). They have now suffered two narrow defeats on the spin and must get something in Edinburgh if they are not to become detached at the foot of the division.

The Men's 1s are in a healthier position as part of a group battling it out behind pace-setters and short-odds title favourites Kelburne. Their 5-0 defeat at home to the champions last weekend was disappointing if not entirely surprising and they should bounce back to win comfortably at home to Gordonians this week (1430).

The 4s are at Windyedge against Rottenrow (1300) as they aim to keep their good run going. The 5s and 6s are at home to Helensburgh (1130) and Stepps (1300) respectively. The Women's 2s and 3s both play Glasgow University. The 2s are at at Garscube (1300) while the 3s are at Windyedge (1600).
