GIRLS CONFIDENT AHEAD OF GAME DAY 2

12 Dec 2012

Our girls suffered two defeats last Sunday, but performances suggest that better times could be just around the corner. They were edged out 4-2 by champions Grove before a 7-1 defeat to title hopefuls Dundee Wanderers. Captain Rachael Ferguson was enthused about the standard of Wildcats' play in these games and Coach Kaz Marshall expressed her pleasure at how well her new charges did against two tough opponents.

Sunday sees them up against CALA, Kelburne and Granite City (featuring Lara Mowforth) and, should they retain last week's performance levels, we anticipate them picking up points. These are exciting times for our women's section and we wish them well in Stirling.

The boys had a similarly taxing start, losing to champions Menzieshill and title pretenders Inverleith. They play Grange, Harris and Clydesdale on Saturday at Bells and, much like their female counterparts, should pick up points in these less taxing fixtures.

In the West District Indoor League, Team 1 play Rottenrow and Team 2 face Clydeside. Both games are at the Lagoon Centre.
