Western Wildcats Hockey Club

A 5-2 defeat to Dundee Wanderers followed by a fighting 5-5 draw with Kelburne was a fair return for an understrength men's indoor side in Perth on Saturday. Under normal circumstances this would have seen them finish sixth. However, a massive points deduction enforced against Kelburne dropped the Paisley side below our boys and left Western in fifth place, in spite of two penalty points incurred themselves. Both teams penalties were as the result of failure to supply umpires.

The 6s lost 5-0 to a strong Stepps 3s at Millerston but their youngsters showed up well and Pat Cranney had a stormer in goal. The 2s v 3s friendly was cancelled due to the Auchenhowie surface being frozen.
