Tomorrow looks a big day of hockey at Auchenhowie with Edinburgh University providing the opposition for both first teams.
The boys are on first at 1300 and will hope to keep their good recent run of form going with a win over former Western star Graeme Moodie's charges. This will be no easy game, though, and the uni have proved they can take points from Western in the past.
The girls remain unbeaten and a win against Edinburgh University in their game (1430) would mark them out as serious title contenders. The students have dominated the women's game for some years now and this should be an excellent contest.
The Men's 2s - another team yet to lose this season - are at Glasgow Green against Kelburne 2s who are also unbeaten in Cemtral 1 (1200). The 3s have suffered a concession as the October holiday takes its toll on their selection but the 4s have scraped together a team to go to Ayr 2s (1230).
