DUNDEE TRIP FOR FIRST TEAMS

24 Oct 2018

After the disappointment of Saturday's double defeat to Edinburgh University, our first teams each have tough fixtures at DISC against Grove Menzieshill.

The boys are at 1600 and they really need a result to get their season back under control. The Dundonians are second to Grange but have a game in hand and have lost one game having won the other four. A Western win blows the league wide open and would see them overtake the home side. However, a home victory sees Menzieshill looking very good for top spot and a serious title challenge. This is a big game so early in the season and a real test of Western's character.

The girls were gutted to lose out just 1-0 on Saturday and probably deserved more from a game where they created chances. They have already drawn against Menzieshill at home and this is a great opportunity to pull away from their hosts whom they are three points ahead of. Wildcats are in second place and a win would be big. The game preludes the boys with a 1430 start.

The form team at the club so far this year is the Men's 2s. They top Central 1 having battled their way to a number of narrow victories. They are away to second place Edinburgh University 2s (1600) and will want to retain their record as the only unbeaten team in the division.

The 3s don't have a game this week and the 4s are away to Anchor (1200).

The Women's 3s are the only team at home with a game against Glasgow University 5s.
