The Men's 1s kept up the pressure on Grange on Saturday with a gritty 2-0 win against Clydesdale at Titwood. In truth, this wasn't exactly one for the purists but Western took their chances with goals from Andrew McConnell after ten minutes and a collector's item from Matt McGinlay midway through the second half. They also defended well and deserved to win.
Not such good news for everyone else, though. The Women's 1s, Women's 2s, Men's 2s and Men's 4s all lost 2-1. The Women's 3s, however, notched a remarkable 6-0 win with just nine players.
