A very successful weekend sees the Men's 1s three points clear at the the top of the Premiership. On Saturday they beat a well-organised Dunfermline Carnegie side 6-2 with goals from Rob Harwood (2), Nikki Homfrey, Fraser Moran, Callum Duke and Adam McKenzie Jr. Yesterday they battled their way to a 6-1 win away to Inverleith.
The Women's 1s nudged into the top six with a very solid 3-0 defeat of GHK. The 2s were a little unlucky to lose 2-1 to Grange 2s.
The Men's 2s beat Grange 3s by a convincing 4-1 through in Scotland's second city. Luke Bannerman (2), Bob Young and Sam Eadie scored for a Western side missing several players.
The 3s were down to just a bare eleven by the time their game against Rottenrow rolled around. No matter. Western turned in the best performance of their season so far with an emphatic 5-2 win in torrential conditions. Roddy MacCallum, Alastair Scott, Calum Grant, Barry Kane and young Ben McLellan did the damage for your heroes.
The 4s kept up their perfect season with a 6-1 win. The 5s were beaten 4-0 down in Dumfries.
