Two big away games for our first teams this Saturday with the women at Titwood to play Clydesdale Western (1430) and the boys at Meggatland against Grange (1630).
Kaz goes into the women’s game with confidence. “We are looking good for Saturday. We really stepped it up against Watsons last Saturday so we know the level it takes to beat these top teams.”
“It will be interesting to see where Clydesdale are this season and we are keen to take the game to them and try and nick some points away from home.”
Vish was very encouraged by the performance of the men in the EHL despite two defeats. “Both the teams we played are excellent and packed with internationalists. The first game was always going to be tough but we competed really well in the second game and I think this shows the potential the boys have.”
“The guys are in a good place heading into the weekend. When you play teams at a higher level it lifts your performance so we just need to make sure we carry that into Saturday.”
Hamish Galt misses out but otherwise Western are at full strength.
Elsewhere on Saturday, the Men’s 2s play Watsonians (1300) and the 4s are at Uddingston at 1130. The 3s play Watsonians 3s at home in the Reserve Cup on Sunday (1400).
The Women’s 2s are at St Andrews (1500), the 3s at Strathclyde Uni (1230). The 4s are at Helensburgh at 1415.
